The Viper D9817V is an ultra-compact 2-way 1-button LED transmitter replacement and expansion kit engineered primarily for Directed’s digital platforms (DS3/DS3+, DS4/DS4+, 4X10/5X10) and hybrid remote start/security control modules.

Overview

The Viper D9817V kit is designed for users who prefer simplified, minimalist vehicle control without navigating a multi-button layout. The primary 7817V remote features a single multi-function button paired with a high-visibility LED confirmation indicator that flashes and beeps to confirm command execution (such as engine starting or lock/unlock toggles).

Operating on a 900 MHz SST (Spread Spectrum Technology) architecture, the system provides long-range performance of up to 1 Mile (approx. 5,280 feet / 1.6 km) through physical obstructions and dense RF environments. The kit includes one primary 2-way 1-button LED remote (7817V), one companion 1-way 1-button backup remote (7117V), the 6826T 900 MHz Control Center antenna module, and an antenna interconnect cable.

Functional Operation (1-Button Logic)

Because the 7817V remote features only a single button, specific commands are triggered by pressing the button in distinct patterns:

• Remote Start / Stop: Press the button once (or twice, depending on programming) to initiate remote engine start. Press again while running to shut down the engine.

• Unlock / Disarm: Press and hold the button for 1.5 to 3 seconds while the remote start is active or the vehicle is locked.

• Lock / Arm: Press the button once while the engine is off to lock the doors and arm the system.
