The Compustar RF-1WG17-AP (also referred to as “1WG17 1-Way Remote Kit”) is a remote control kit designed for use with Compustar remote start and vehicle security systems. Its “AP” designation refers to the antenna package included in the kit.
This kit provides basic one-way RF remote functionality

Lock / Unlock: The remote can be used to lock or arm and unlock or disarm the vehicle’s security system.

Long-press for Trunk Release: In many installations, holding down the unlock button triggers a “trunk pop” or release.

Panic / Siren: A panic or siren button triggers the vehicle alarm in emergency situations.

3× Lock Start: If the vehicle’s OEM system supports remote start, pressing the lock button three times in rapid succession (3×) may issue a remote start command via the OEM remote (i.e. the system leverages the existing remote signal). This is a useful “hybrid” compatibility feature.
